Isuzu Indonesia Launches Two New Truck Models

PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (IAMI) introduced five models and 10 variants. Currently Isuzu Isuzu GIGA launched FVZ and FRR, while the other three models will be released in the near future. Both products cost Rp 340 million and Rp690 million (off the road). 

Isuzu GIGA Indonesia which was introduced in the market equipped with heavy-duty common rail engine that has been adapted to conditions in Indonesia after a series of tests and trials thus creating a powerful diesel engine, fuel efficient, and environmentally friendly.
Isuzu GIGA FVZ 34 is a medium truck 6 x 4 with a mighty force that has the greatest power in the classroom as well as 26 tons GVW 6HK1TCS 7790cc engine. While Isuzu FRR GIGA medium 90 is 4 × 2 trucks with GVW of 10 tons in Indonesia's first drive with a 4 cylinder. Prices of the two medium trucks were sold around Rp 340-640 million per unit.
GIGA FVZ and FRR is a product of global heavy duty diesel common rail that their specifications are tailored to the characteristics of Indonesia.
"It takes two years of research and testing of one year here (Indonesia) so that this product meets the needs of the Indonesian market," explains Johannes Nangoi, President IAMI.
Until the end of the year, Isuzu's sales target of up to 600 units. FVZ 34 6x4 truck was entered in the class gross vehicle weight (GVW) 26 ton capacity equipped 7.790cc 6HK1CTS engine, 6-cylinder-powered 285 PS with torque of 90 kgm at 1450-2400 rpm.
Isuzu trucks are the main advantages claimed are in power are above the average of the highest competitor 260 PS and fuel efficient. The target market is the mining and plantation FVZ such as Sumatra and Kalimantan. To this day 200 orders already entered.
Classified as a medium 4x2 truck with GVW of 10 tons 4-cylinder engine, Heavy Duty Common Rail turbo intercooler-powered 190 PS and torque of 52 kgm at 1600-2600 rpm.
Edy Yusuf Oekasah, GM Marketing IAMI said that FRR 90 targeting to the distribution business on the island of Java. "It's called business, spending no matter how small matter. This truck offers the same power with competitors but more fuel-efficient and long-time durability, such as parts replacement intervals are more durable," said Edy.
