Preserving Batik Lasem

             








          Batik has become one of Indonesia's culture is recognized as a world cultural heritageby the United Nations educational and cultural organization, UNESCO. However,technological developments make batik culture is threatened oblivion. The Indonesian nation was required to preserve the culture, especially batik batik artisans in variousregions of Indonesia. Lasem Subdistrict, Central Java, Rembang is a center of artisansand producers of batik in Indonesia is already well known both within and outside the country. It is argued that the batik originated from Lasem have specifications that is second to none in the world, even batik lasem a multicultural mix of cultures.
