Export of raw goods tax will go up


The government plans to raise taxes on exports of raw materials, especially on mineralcommodities and coal (Mining). This was achieved by realizing the policy hilirisasiindustrial products.



"Who want to propose (the export tax increase) is the Ministry of Industry. If the proposalhas been discussed interdepartmental, (will be) set in FMD (Regulation of the Ministerof Finance). New every month set by the Ministry of Commerce," said Director General of Foreign Trade Ministry trade, Deddy Saleh, to Kompas.com via text message, here on Tuesday (28/06/2011).


Currently, Deddy confirms it is still a discourse. There are currently no antarkementerianmeeting to discuss it. "But it all must be discussed first interdep. So do not know when itstarted to be discussed," he added.


However, he continued, one thing is certain about this hilirisasi also been arranged in the Mining Law No. 4, Year 2009, which set five years after enactment, or in 2014, exports have been processed Minerba first.
